Getting your Student ID Card (legitymacja)

Dear Erasmus Students,

If you need an identity card, visit the Dean’s Office room no. 11 at Narutowicza Road.

Students apply for the student card at their faculty's Dean’s Office (dziekanat) (visit it preferably with your tutor as you will have to cope with some forms in Polish).

First, you have to go to the Dean's Office and register. Than you wait a few days (usually around one, up to maximum two weeks) so that your documents are forwarded to Kasa, where you have to go and pay 17 PLN.
At Kasa you will receive a receipt, which you have to take again to the Dean's Office, along with all the necessary enclosures:
• 2 photographs
• confirmation from International Office (given upon arrival)
• receipt for 17 PLN (administrative cost to be paid at Kasa, al. Jedności Narodowej 31, 1st floor).

Issuing the card takes a few days – however it is necessary for you to be able to get around and enjoy your student life at discount prices.
